Rhema SC scored a 3-1 win against West Zone United in a Super Division match of the MDFA League 2016-2017, and played at the Goans Sports Association ground, Cross Maidan. Strikers Sunny Kasaraj, Sunil Das and Diago Fernandes netted a goal each for Rhema, while West Zone reduced the margin of defeat with Emaad Nadkar scoring the lone goal.
In another match of the same division, Companeroes SC and Central Railway Mumbai Division shared honours in a 1-1 draw. Sheldon Rego scored the opening goal to put Companeroes in front before Kashif Ansari scored the equaliser for the railway outfit.
