Karm nets hat-trick for Mumbai FC


Karm Mulchandani hogged the limelight by notching up a fine hat-trick which helped Mumbai FC clinch a tight 3-2 win against a spirited J.J. Academy in a semi-final match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Youth (U-14) League 2016, promoted by the Sporting Lions and Mumbai City FC and played at the Lions Municipal Sports Complex, Vile Parle. Striker Pratik Vaplkry netted both the goals for J.J. Academy who put up a strong fight.

In the second semi-final, MSSA got the better of Goans SA 4-3 via the penalty shootout tie-breaker after the scores were deadlocked goalless at the end of regulation period. Kris Benson, Anson Tauro, Nihal Dudwadkar and Amey Kadam were successful for MSSA in the tie-breaker, while Goans converted through Nilay Sole, Arya Giandharva and Ryan Shah.

Mumbai FC and MSSA will meet in the grand finale, which is scheduled to be played on Sunday, December 4 at 10.30 am at the Lions Municipal Sports Complex, Vile Parle. The Third place match between Goans SA and J.J. Academy will be played earlier at 8.30 am.
