Darsh Shah, one of those rare breeds in athletics, who used left hand to win the top prize in the boys under-16 discus throw event at the 3rd Sunday Mornings Athletics meet, organized by Mumbai University in association with the India Masters Athletics at the University Stadium, Marine lines here today. Darsh hurled the discus to 26.43 metres to come first, followed by Mohit Ganpule of Udayachal (Vikhroli) and Hrithik Swarup, of Mumbai City, in that order.
The women’s 100 m run, saw Jayanthi Devadiga sprinted past Vaishali Bansold and Rupa Jaisiwar to emerge the best sprinter with a timing of 17.0 secs. Atul Jadhav of Seven Star Sports Academy, won the men’s 200m event with a timing of 23.27 secs. Close on the heals of Atul was Ajit Singh and Avinash Dubey.
While Himanshu Singh, of Thane’s Track & Field Master, won the honours in the 200m run boys under-16 section and in the girls under-16, Tannishta Dineshkumar, after her last Sunday’s Discus Throw win, claimed another first by winning the long jump event as well.

Men: 200m: Atul Jadhav (Seven Stars SA-Thane)- 23.27 secs. 1500m: Sujit Kushe (Individual) – 4:29.0 secs.
Women: 100m: Jayanthi Devadiga (Individual) – 17.0 secs.
GIRLS U-18: Discus Throw: Krithika Krishnakkumar (Individual)- 29.41 mts. U-16: Long Jump: Tannishta Dineshkumar (Individual) – 3.05 mts. U-14: Shot Put: Agrata Melkunde (Individual) – 10.74 mts.
BOYS U-18: 1500m: Harshal Dave (Individual) – 4:39.7 secs. U-16: 1500m: Vaibhav Shah (Lake City Trust) – 5:08.9 secs. U-14:100m: Siraj Ansari (Sprinters SC) – 12.94 secs.
