Kalina United struck prime form to register a comfortable 4-0 win against Egyptian Boys in a Men’s Open 8th round match of the 16th Kalina Football League, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Parish Church Sports Committee, and played at the Our Lady of Egypt Church ground, Kalina. Playing well as a unit, the Kalina side scored through Monish D’Souza, Alister Lobo, Naresh Baji and Omkar Khambe to run away with the match.
In a closely fought match, FC Kolovery got the better of Kalina Village Boys (White) by a 1-0 margin with striker Nigel Fernandes netting the lone winning goal.
Meanwhile, in the Men’s Veteran Inter-Parish (knockout) tournament, St. Joseph’s, Juhu blanked Our Lady of Health, Sahar 5-0. Conie Pereira, Anslem Creado, Justine Gonsalves, Caesar Gonsalves and Trevor Fernandes, all combined nicely and scored a goal apiece to seal the win.
