Sachin Meder’s twin strikes helped Air India Colony prevail over Kalina Village Boys (White) by a 3-1 margin in a Men’s Open match of the 16th Kalina Football League, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Parish Church Sports Committee, and played at the Our Lady of Egypt Church ground, Kalina. Meder’s teammate Vinod Pandey got the third goal, while the Village Boys reduced the deficit through Sameer Coutinho’s goal.
In another closely contested encounter, Kalpesh Rane and Tyson Pereira struck a goal each to steer Indian FC to an exciting 2-1 win against Kalina Rangers. Roche Mascarenhas got the lone goal for Rangers.
