Samrudhi Rovalekar, of Udayachal school, and Darvesh Mohd ., of Jai Hind college, won the 100m sprint for their respective girls under-16 and boys under-18 events on the 2nd Sunday Mornings Athletics meet, organized by Mumbai University in association with the India Masters Athletics at the University Stadium, Marine lines here today. Samrudhi left Anjali Kidambi from Hirfanandani school (Powai) way behind to clinch the top spot with 14.66 seconds. However, for Jai Hind’s college Darvesh it was quite a tight finish with Nishant Ghanekar, of Seven Star Sports Academy, on his heals for most part of the race before Darvesh breasted the tape in 14.66 secs.

Tanishta Dineshkumar, who had won the girls under-16 Discus throw event the earlier Sunday, added another by hurling shot Put to 9.15 m win the event from Lovekush Kanojia, of Rising Star Sports Club, with a timing of 2 minutes, 16.7 seconds.
