Srushti, who  has been in fine form, won both her singles, while  Jai Hind’s   junior Payal Bohra, who has been  quite often being her nemesis in thepast, was quite rusty as she has skipped the whole season. It was Srushti’s win over Payal that virtually sealed Jai Hind’s fate.  Earlier, Srushti had outplayed Vidhi Dhoot, another promising player, in straight games.

Dadar’s Antonio da Silva School which  has produced  Shubham Ambre, currently State’s top player,  were  made  to fight  hard before they got the better of Cathedral and John Connon 3-2 to bag the boys under-17 title in.
