Companeroes Sports Club had things much their own way as they stormed to a massive 9-1 win against Kant Wadi Stars in a Premier Division third round encounter of the 15th Bandra West Football league, sponsored by Baba Siddique & Zeeshan Siddique and conducted by the BWFA (Bandra West Football Association) and played at the Dr. Norman Lewis Supari Talao, Municipal grounds. The victors enjoyed a commanding 5-0 half-time lead.
Leading Companeroes charge to victory was striker Akshay Saptoji who scored four goals and Prashant Gurav who netted a brace of goals while Wren D’Abreo, Akshay Kadu and Hitesh Bamaniya, all contributed one each to complete the margin of goals. Amir Shendwan got the consolation goal for Kant Wadi Stars.
In another match, Gavin Aguiar’s 20th minute strike enabled Chimbai SC score their third straight win beating Celtic 7070 by a solitary 1-0 goal.
