Skorost FC had things much therir own way as they tamed Larsen & Toubro (L&T) by a 3-0 margin in a one-sided Third Division play-off pre-quarter-final encounter of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Friday.
Striker Abhay Amin netted the opening goal in the 17th minute before Amin Nawaz struck the second in the 30 minute as Skorost went into the break with a comforta ble 2-0 advantage. Swayam Shelar fired home the third goal in the 49th minute to seal the win.
In another match, Hitesh Purbhiya’s second half goal helped Chatotter Rukhi Samaj overcome Rising Stars by a 1-0 margin.
