Arguably the biggest intra-club badminton tournament of its kind, Goregaon Sports Club Badminton League (GBL) organized and hosted by Goregaon Sports Club (GSC) and sponsored by Reebok Sunglasses will commence from Saturday, 28th May. It will be played across two weekends (28th and 29th May and 4th and 5th June) at the GSC badminton courts.
More than one hundred and forty players will be taking part in this tourney which will feature ten teams. The various categories of the event are – 80+ doubles, 90+ doubles, 100+ doubles, open doubles and mixed doubles. The categories are so designed that players from all age groups and all levels of players can participate in the tournament. The tournament organizers took the arduous task of grading each player and distributing them in a player auction held on 15th May in such a way that all teams are equally balanced and have a fair shot at the title.
