Air India, Godrej, Tatas & Indian Oil ( IOC) are all big names in corporate sector, as far as their business is concerned. But, their teams in sports are also doing well, especially in the game of Table tennis. And, this was proved by their sportspersons in the MCDTTA Inter Office Table Tennis League, which concluded on Thursday evening at PJ Hindu Gymkhana.

Air India Mens ‘A’ team represented by Sanish Ambekar, Shaurya Pednekar & Mandar Hardikar won the First Division Inter Office Table tennis league . In their final match, they defeated Mumbai Port Trust. Even their ‘B’ team comprising of Aniruddha Marathe, Ram kadam, Sachin Garude & Suresh Sharma put up a good show, to secure fourth position, in final placements in the first division. Interestingly, the last three players of their ‘B’ team are not recruited on Sports quota. But, this year, they have shown tremendous progress.
In the second division finals played today evening, Godrej & Boyce team beat Sachivalaya Gymkhana , to prove their supremacy. Amit Joshi, Sarosh Shroff, Roshan Cherian, Ramkrishnani & Kapol Kulkarni represented the winning team.
For the third division Inter Office title Tata Sports Club represented by Vishal Yadav, Deepak Vishvakarma, Anuj Shah and Sujan Narvekar scored a well fought 3-2 victory against Compuservices. For the losing team, K.K.Rai won both his matches. But, Vishal, Deepak and Anuj won their three crucial matches for Tatas team.
The fourth division , which had more teams, was divided into two zones. And, the winners of the Zone I were Naval Dockyard, who defeated Thinq Pharma, while State Bank of India won the Zone II title beating B.Motilal Oswal team in the finals.

In the 2nd division Inter Office Women’s TT league Indian Oil team represented by Bibiyana Lopes, N.C.Ferreira , Vibha Shinde & Indu Sengupta won the title defeating BEST in the finals.
The 1st Division of Women’s Inter Office league saw the dominance of Air India’s team once again, which was represented by Shruti Amrute, Manasi Deshpande, Sarika Divekar & Shreya Deshpande. They remained unbeaten in the league, while Reserve Bank of India Women’s team secured second position.
