PJ Hindu Gymkhana(PJHG) ‘A’ team emerged winners, with their unbeaten record of winning all their matches, in the MCDTTA 1st Division Inter Club Table tennis League, today evening. In their last league match against MLWB-KKB’A’ , Shbham Ambre played star role, winning both his matches. But, he had to strive hard to win the 4th match against MLWB’s best player Gaurav Parte , winning the decider, to equalise the set score. The last crucial match was won by Parth kelkar for PJHG, who beat Dev Shroff in three straight games. The other two members of this winning team are, Mahendra Chiplunkar & Mudit Dani.
Zubin Taraporewala ( Parsee Gymkhana)
However, the real hero of this First division Inter Club League was Zubin Taraporewala of Parsee Gymkhana, who remained unbeaten throughout the league matches . Playing the best player for his team, he won both his matches against the best players of all the teams. Unfortunately, he could not find good support from his team mates. Zubin, who works with AG’s office, won the hearts of many TT lovers, with his consistency on forehand topspins and backhand drives.

Women’s 1st Division : Parsee Gymkhana bt PJHG 3-0, Garware ‘B’ bt MLWB ‘B’ 3-1.
