Sunil Patil shines in Mumbai Police win


 

Sunil Patil’s all round show featured I Mumbai Police City Riders defeated Shivaji Park Warriors by seven wickets in the concluding league fixture of the  in the Mitsui Shoji t-20 League played at Police Gymkhana here today. However, the defeat hardly mattered as both made the knockout stage with table topper Bandra Heroese and defending champions Ghatkopar Jets.

With the tie devoid of any excitement, Shivaji Park Warriors put up a pathetic show. Their top  batsmen were back in the dressing room with score reading 39 However, thanks for fighting 58 runs partnership between Bhavijay Taneja (50) and Nikhil Ajgaonkar (35), Shivaji Park Warrirors made 136. In reply,  the last year’s finalists the policemen hardly faced any anxiety as they reached the target for the loss of just three wickets with Sunil Patil, making a fine unbeaten knock of 80.
