Saurabh Mohite with his aggressive top spin attack put up a good show for P.J.Hindu Gymkhana ‘B’ team, while playing against well balanced side of P.J.Hindu Gymkhana ‘A’, in their first encounter in the MCDTTA First division Inter Club Table Tennis league today evening.

Saurabh first defeated ITTF ranked Junior Mudit Dani 3-2 , in five well contested games. At one stage Saurabh was down 0-2 in this five games encounter; but, recovered to attack well on both the flanks of his opponent, not allowing him to settle down. Saurabh went on to defeat state ranked Junior Shubham Ambre in the fourth match to level the set score. But, he could not receive good response from his erratic partner Tanmay Rane, who lost both his matches to Mudit and Shubham.
For P.J.Hindu Gymkhana’A’, the third crucial match was won by Parthav kelkar. Seasoned players from both the teams, Prakash kelkar and Mahendra Chiplunkar opted to rest, allowing the their juniors to contest among themselves.
In another well contested match, MLWB –KKB ‘A’ team beat Parsi Gymkhana 3-2, in another well contested match. For Parsi Gymkhana Zubin T won both his matches. But, he could not find the support from his team mates . For the winners, Gaurav Parte, Rajesh Singh & little Dev Shroff won one match each.
