Worli Sports Club stormed to a comfortable 3-0 win against Veera United SC in a Third Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016 and played at the Schools Sports Centre, Azad Maidan. Strikers Prathamesh Sawant, Parth Mahatre and V. Raghavan scored a goal each for the winning team.
In another encounter, Sagar Mitra Mandal and FC Mithagar were engaged in a 1-1 draw at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. Divesh Shetty struck the lone goal for the Mandal side, while Mithagar got their goal through Elton Dawson.
