Opener Yash Joshi’s aggressive unbeaten 66 featured in MCC (Green)’s 8-wicket win over Jwala Sports Foundation in their concluding tie in the five-team double-leg Twister-MCC-Pro40 League-season-3 at the Cross Maidan here today. This was MCC (Green)’s fifth win, which put them at second spot in the league table. They will next meet the winners of MCC (Blue) and Twisters Sports Club for a place in the final. MCC (Red) are already made the title round, having finished at the top of the table.
Put in to bat, Jwala Sports Foundation were bowled out for 111 with Umesh More being their top scorer with 31 while Zaid Khan (2/18, Pradhnesh Gurchal 2/12, Runal Suratkar 2/11) sharing the bowling honours. The MCC (Green) opener (66 n.o.) and Dhurender Singh 31 put on 61 runs before Dhurender was run out for well made 31. Though they lost another wicket for the addition of five runs, Yash and Ramesh Thakur took their team home without any hiccups. Yash’s unbeaten knock contained 10 fours and two sixes.
