Sibte Hasan Rizvi is no more


Noted film maker Sibte Hasan Rizvi, whose career as a film maker in Hindi film industry spanned around five decades, is no more. He passed away on Sunday. Rizvi had worked with many top Bollywood actors and had given a break to today’s popular director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, through his film ‘Khamoshi’ starring Salman Khan, Nana Patekar, & Manisha Koirala.

Sibte Hasan Rizvi, as a producer, entered Hindi film industry in 1968, with his film ‘Baharon Ki Manzil’ starring Dharmendra and Meena Kumari. Thereafter, as a producer, he made films like ‘Khandan’,’ Ahista Ahista’, ‘’Joshilay’, ‘Khamoshi’,’Jhooth Bole Kauvva Kate’, ‘Pyar Koi Khel Nahin’ & ‘Wah tera Kya Kehna’. He had directed films like ‘Awaaz De Kahan Hai’ and ‘Joshilay’ in 1989 and 1990 respectively.
