Kenkre FC combined well as a team and registered a comfortable 4-2 victory against PIFA Colaba FC in an Elite Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) league 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage ground. Leading Kenkre’s march to victory was their nippy striker Taha Kachwala who scored a brace, while Abuzer Beg and Arish Sutaria netted one each to round of the winning tally. Irfan Khan and Nachiket Palav got the goals for the Colaba outfit.
Abuzer Beg struck the opening goal in the 30th minute as Kenkre went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
In the second session, Kenkre put up a stronger performance and scored three more goals through Sutaria in the 50th minute before Kachwala added the other two, finding the target in the 59th and 87th minutes to complete the win for Kenkre.
The Colaba side tried hard to put up a fight, but could only manage two goals scored by Irfan in the 74th minute and Palav in the 81st minute.
Result – Elite Division: Kenkre FC 4 (Abuzer Beg 30th, Arish Sutaria 50th, Taha Kachwala 59th, 87th) beat PIFA Colaba FC 2 (Irfan Khan 74th, Nachiket Palav 81st).
