Golden Gunners SC and Autonomous SC lifted the veteran men and men’s open titles respectively in the 23rd Bandra Gymkhana Open Rink Football Tournament and played under floodlights at the Demonte Park Recreational Ground, Bandra.

In the veteran’s final Gunners overcame Macabbi SC, Dadar by a narrow 4-3 margin. Douglas D’Sena, Osbourne D’Souza, Philip Gonsalves and Jonnathan Fernandes were bang on target for Gunners, while Macabbi scored through a brace by Camilo Noronha and one by Martin D.
Later in the men’s open final, Autonomous SC got the better of Mighty Young Joe by a close 3-2 margin to emerge victorious.
There was some consolation for Mighty Young Joe as their players Shankar Thakur and Sherwyn Chang won the ‘Player of the tournament’ awards in the veteran and open categories respectively.
