Thanks to fine allround show by Akash Ayyar, Jwala Sports Foundation beat Twisters Sports Club by five wickets in a low scoring tie to record their second win in the five-team double-leg Twister-MCC-Pro40 League-season-3 at the Oval Maidan here today.

Twisters SC, after winning the toss and batting first, were bundled out for 111 in 32.5 overs, with Akash Ayyar 2/14, Dev Patel 3/15, Jagdish Jadhav 2/14 and Parag Borad 2/11 sharing the bowling honours. Saurabh Triplathi (35) and Akash Ayyar (35) excelled with bat while chasing their target of 112.
In the other tie, MCC (Red) recorded their second straight win, with a eight victory over MCC (Green). This was MCC (Red)’s fourth outing so far. It was the pace of Jitendra Paliwal and leg spin of Yashasvi Jaiswal that saw them dismissing MCC (Green) for 106 in just 23.5 overs. In reply, they just knocked off the required runs with eight wickets to spare.
