Twice in arrears, defending champions Air India fought back to snatch a narrow 3-2 win against Kenkre FC in an exciting Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage ground.
Kenkre took the lead through Shaun Fernandes in the 28th minute but Air India wiped out the lead when substitute Sagar Chile scored the equaliser in the 55th minute. The Kenkre outfit, for the second time gained the advantage with Yao Bernard finding the net in the 63rd minute. However, Air India put up a determined fight in the final five minutes and scored two goals through Raynier Fernandes and Vijith Shetty to emerge victors.
The next Elite Division match will be played between ONGC and RCF, on Wednesday, February 3 at 2.00pm.
