Sharan,Aditya storm into Qr-finals


Top seed Sharan Punjabi along with second seed Aditya Chandani stormed into the quarter-finals of the boys’ under-11 event of the Indian Squash Professional (ISP) organised Rs one lakh prize-money Otters Club – ISP Classic Squash tournament, and played at the Otters Club courts, Bandra. This is the 120th tournament to be conducted by ISP.

Sharan playing aggressively had no problems to get past Arhaan Penwala in straight game winning at 11-3, 11-2, while Aditya enjoyed a more relaxed outing and dropped just one point to power past Anshul Rao 11-0, 11-1.

Meanwhile in the competition for professionals, the number one seed Sanjay Pawar did not go flat out but still managed to coast to a fleunt 11-6, 11-5 win against Manoj Manjarekar in a third round match and book his place in the quarter-finals.
Joining Pawar in the last eighth round was Mayur Jadhav who staged a grand recovery after losing the first game to overcome Prashant More 5-11, 11-9, 11-6 in another third round match.
