Known for his flat forehand smashes, Jayant Kulkarni of P.J.Hindu Gymkhana, scored 3-1 victory over three times Veterans’ National Champion Yogesh Desai, in the quarter finals of the Veterans’ 60+ section, of the Khar Gymkhana State ranking veterans’ Table Tennis Tournament. Jayant now moves into semi finals.

In the Men’s 50+ section, Former International Sunil Babras had smooth sailing in the initial rounds.Similarly,Ravindra Narula, Ashok Kalambe,Purshottam Markad,Nitish Kumar, A.M.Rokade,Suresh Sharma, Dinkar Shelarka,Avinash Joshi,Prasahant Machave,Vivek Alavani,Sanjay Patankar,Ravi Gulgule, K,.K Rai,Prakash Punjabi & Rajesh Mudam also won their initial rounds.
In the men’s 40+ section, Kiran Salian, Dr.Nitin Toshniwal, kapil Kumar, Debdoot Chatterjee won their initial rounds, but Rajesh Singh lost to Ravi Chopra, while Nitin walavalkar lost to Pranesh Kulkarni.
In the semi finals of team Championship event KRC-A will play with Solapur A in first semi finals, while Jain Sports A will take on Gomantak A, in second semi finals.
