Last year’s champion Rovin D’Souza (PJHG) secured his second victory by defeating Pramod Kulkarni (SPG) 276-96 in his third Group ‘I’ round-robin league match of the SPG-Park Club Billiards Tournament – 2015, which is being jointly organised by the Shivaji Park Gymkhana and Park Club.

D’Souza had earlier started badly by losing his first game against Lalit Jham (PCL). But with strong fighting spirit he won the next game against Dinesh Dhumal (MG) and now finished in number position in the group and qualify for the next phase knockout round. Dhumal also scored two wins and took second position in the group and also qualify for the next round.
Loukic Pathare (CG) won a third successive game by defeating Vinay Kalro (SPG) 262-134 in Group ‘C’. Carl Serrao (DG) scored a second win also defeating Kalro 168-121 and is now placed second in this group. Pathare and Serrao have now advance to the second phase of the competition.
Meanwhile, Shekhar Surve (SPG) and Prashant Mhatre (SPG) scored two wins each in Group ‘D’ and have now moved to the knockout phase of the competition. Surve who beat Mhatre 226-157 claimed the number one place in the group and Mhatre was in second position.
