ONGC (Oil & Natural Gas Corporation) eked out a narrow 1-0 win against Union Bank of India in an Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage ground on Friday.
Striker Enock Anan netted the lone goal of the match in the 27th minute, which helped ONGC seal the win and collect the full three points.
Meanwhile, DECA (D’Assisi Ex-students Charitable Association) riding on Jason Misquitta’s twin strikes romped to a 4-1 victory against Mumbai Warriors in a Super Division match played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. Agnelo Picardo and Abhishek Gupta struck the other two goals for the victors, while Umesh Parambara got the lone goal for the losing side.
Defending champions Air India take on Karnatak SA in the next Elite Division match at the Cooperage on Saturday.
