Sports Authority of India (Kandivali) in boys with 57 points and Udayanchal girls from Vikhroli with 44 points, took the team honours in the India Masters Athletics inaugural Five-District OpenTrack andField Championships, held at University Stadium, Marine Lines, on Sunday.

The corresponding trophies in the men and women’s sections went to Mumbai Police (24 pts) and VPM Sports Club (Dahisar) with 26 pts.
Among the vetarans, Sadanand Poojary, was the outstanding performer with golds in the 5000m, 10000 and 1500m runs in the plus 30 age group. Shivanand Shetty from Mumbai, took golds in ther 10000 and 5000m and silver in the 800m and 1500 m in the men’s plus 35 group in the Maharashtra State Masters Athletics’ Championships, held concurrently.
