Fancied outfit and former champions, Mumbai FC had things completely under control as they eased to a fluent 5-2 win against a determined Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) in an Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage football ground on Friday evening. Mumbai FC enjoyed a slender 2-1 half-time lead.
Lanky striker Cletus Paul played a stellar role in Mumbai FC’s win as he registered a fine hat-trick. Japanese recruit Taisuke Matsugae gave the victors an early lead while Sandesh Gadkari also got on the scoresheet. For KSA the goals came through Patrick Mascarenhas and seasoned Arihi Uchena.
The next Elite Division match will be played between RCF and Central Railway on Saturday, November 14 at 3.30 pm.
