Impressive win for Mumbai Customs


Mumbai Customs struck good form to record an authoritative 2-0 win against Central Railway in an Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage football ground on Sunday evening. Strikers Deepak Irmali and Vaibhav Karpe struck the goals for the Customs outfit.

Central Railway were forced to play the last 26 minutes with a man short as their defender Prabash Janardhan for violent conduct was shown the red card by referee Rosario Fernandes in the 64th minute.

Customs, despite not being at full strength, were quite impressive and dished out pleasing performance to take control of the proceedings. But they had to wait till the 49th minute to open the scoring through their diminutive left winger Deepak Irmali.

Vaibhav Karpe netted the second goal in the 79th minute to seal Customs victory and pocket the full three points.
The next Elite Division match will be played between Kenkre FC and Western Railway on Monday, November 9 at 3.30 pm.
