Air India enjoyed a smooth sailing as they soared to a comfortable 3-0 win against a determined Central Bank of India in an Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage football ground on Wednesday evening.
Neil Gaikwad, the most experienced and consistent scorer in the Air India ranks Neil Gaikwad got the first goal in the very 17th minute. But, thereafter Air India had to wait till the 60th minute to add the second goal with substitute Sunny Thakur finding the net before young Raynier Fernandes netted the third in the 68th minute to complete the winning tally.
The next Elite Division match will be played between PIFA Colaba FC and Mumbai FC on Friday, November 6 at 3.30 pm.
