Champs Kalina Village Boys (KVB) are all set to defend their title as the 16th edition of the Kalina Football League, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Parish Church Sports Committee, is set to kick-off at the Our Lady of Egypt Church ground, Kalina from Sunday, September 4.
A total of 10 teams, including KVB will be competing for the top honours in the Open category, while 6 teams will feature in the Boy’s Under-16 event. Junior Rangers emerged champions of the boys’ event and Farm House SC were runners-up.
From this year the organizers have decided to conduct the veterans’ tournament as an Inter-Parish competition.
Matches would be played only on Sunday’s and Bank holidays.
The tournament offers attractive cash awards and trophies to the champions, runners-up teams and also individual award winners.
